Russell post-war drama the The Water Diviner chosen by a widower and his desperate search after his sons who fought in Gallipoli.
The Water Diviner plays in 2014. After his wife Eliza surprisingly dies, the Australian farmer Connor embarks on a desperate quest after his sons. The widower travels to Turkey, because four years ago fought his sons at the battle of Gallipoli during the first world war, and since then are considered missing. There, Connor hoped for further information on the fate of his sons. In Istanbul he met the Turkish owner of Ayshe. With the help of a Turkish officer, which pays out first not many chances of success the father, Connor embarks on an adventurous journey across the country, because hope dies last.
Andrew Knight and Andrew developed the script for the drama with Russell deliver his feature film directorial debut.
